Provider membership is available to state-licensed Assisted Living Facilities. Facilities that are not yet licensed or are under development should apply for TALA's Prospective Membership. 

Membership dues renew on January 1st of every year. 

TALA is your resource for Advocacy, Education, Workforce Development, and more. TALA membership provides insight - and encourages your input - into important topics, resources, events, and tools that make the day-to-day easier for AL professionals. TALA allows you the opportunity to direct efforts on regulatory changes, provide input on continuing education and conference topics, and elevating professionalism in the industry. TALA also provides timely alerts and communications - from the TALAView newsletter to TALAHour webinars to TALALens article and more - on what’s happening in Texas Assisted Living.

By joining TALA, you become part of the collective voice shaping the operating environment for owners and management companies. TALA membership lets people know that your company is dedicated to professionally operated assisted living communities and quality care for seniors.


Public Policy

TALA gives Assisted Living communities the ability to have their interests represented before those who influence how AL communities operate in Texas. 
  • Monitors and influences all legislation impacting assisted living communities. 
  • Actively engages HHSC on regulatory interpretation and drives reform.
  • AI Mascot, Ruth, tailored to answer regulatory questions.

Education

TALA’s educational offerings are dedicated to raising the bar of operational quality in the industry as well as promoting best practices and knowledge that will enhance the care and well-being of residents.
  • Members receive a discounted rate on all educational offerings.
  • Annual conference where executive directors and nurses can obtain required continuing education hours (CEUs). 
  • Continuing education & initial training through webinars, an on-demand platform, and in-person events. 
  • Specialized dementia training.
  • HHSC authorized provider of AL Manager's Classes required of all new Texas AL Manager's. 
  • TALATalks podcast, TALALens blog, and monthly TALAHour webinars.
Workforce

Through its workforce development initiatives, TALA identifies labor challenges and develops tools to train and support AL staff and enhance professionalism in the industry.
  • Career Portal featuring provider member job postings.
  • TALA surveys and gathers information on different facets of the workforce to better provide resources and tools to achieve workforce goals.
  • Workforce Development Roundtable events featuring industry experts to brainstorm collaborative solutions.
  • Operation Serving Seniors, a program to connect those in the military with careers in senior living.
Select An Option

Provider membership is available to state-licensed Assisted Living Communities or Companies. This provider membership type is intended for organizations operating one or multiple Assisted Living (AL) communities in Texas and extends benefits to all employees across those locations. All AL communities owned or managed by the provider within Texas must be included.
